We are thrilled to share that BioSysteM cluster has been selected for the 2025 Excellence Strategy! Congratulations to Henrike and other scientists in the cluster!
Biosystems Design Munich (BioSysteM) aims to create self-organising molecular and cellular systems with programmable, life-like properties. Starting from January 2026, the researchers in this cluster will be developing biomolecular machines, intelligent materials and pattern-based therapeutics.
Participating institutions: TUM, LMU, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry and Helmholtz Munich.
